"New Moon" Party

Yesterday was the big day, the one I have been waiting months for...my New Moon party. As most people know, I am totally addicted to the Twilight books and now the movies. I can't help it, I just love them!

For the party, or get together to eat and socialize with friends, I found some fun things at Target. They had New Moon plates, napkins, and even chocolates (they were very yummy, BTW). My friend Melissa ordered an edible New Moon cake topper off eBay for me that I had put on a red velvet cake. I thought it turned out so cute, and yummy!

We did a lot of eating and talking before we went to enjoy the movie. It was fun having a bunch of friends over to hang out with. Before we left for the movie I had to get pictures of everyone there.

Back row: Lara, Julie, Me, Amy D, Frenchy (Amy B), Melissa, Taryn, Crystal, Tanya
Front row: Nichol, Alicia, Savannah

Frenchy and I bought our "Team Edward" shirts last year to wear to see "Twilight" and we decided to wear them again for "New Moon". I am an Edward fan all the way, even though Jacob does look good in this movie. I tried to squat down so I wouldn't look so tall next to her, I don't think it worked very well.

I know I'm a complete dork...I just had to do this because, like I said before, I'm a huge Edward fan. Josh laughed at me and shook his head when he saw this picture, he should know he's my real life Edward...minus the vampire stuff.

After all the fun with taking pictures, we headed to the movie. The theater was pretty full when we got there so we were lucky to find 13 seats together so none of us would have to sit separate. We did a LOT of giggling (like teenagers) before the movie started. I even noticed some real teenage girls behind us rolling their eyes at us, like we were so immature. Hey, just because we're older and have an average of 2.5 kids doesn't mean we can't have any fun, does it?

I got some more pictures before the movie started, I tried to get everyone in, but it was dark so it didn't turn out that well.

The movie was AWESOME!!! I liked it better than the first one, but I really like that one too. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD...that's going to be another long wait. On a side note, I don't have to wait another year before I can see the next movie, "Eclipse". It comes out in June...around the same time as mine and Lara's birthdays. That will be a fun present.

I had a really good time with these awesome girls. Thanks girls for making this a great movie premier. I will be counting down the days until next time.

Jaedyn is 3 Months Old

Today Jaedyn is three months old. It seems like we've had her longer than that, but it's been fun. I took her to the doctor today to get a weight check up. Last time I took her at two months, she wasn't gaining weight like she should have, this time was better. She has gained one pound in the last month, so she's now in the 50% on her weight. Her doctor said that is a good thing.

Here are a few things about Jaedyn at 3 months:

*She weighs 11.5 lbs.
*She sleeps from 10pm to 5am
*She smiles a lot
*She's trying to talk more
*She still spits up a lot
*She tries to sit up all the time
*She loves her swing & rides in the car
*She's still wearing 0-3 mo. clothes
*She loves to cover her face with her blanket when she sleeps
*She has her brothers wrapped around her little finger
*She is so beautiful
*You can't help but smile every time you look at her
*She is a very good baby

I have been trying to get a good picture of her smiling, but can't always get one before she's done smiling. I finally got one with my cell phone and I think it's one of the cutest pictures I have taken of her. She's just so sweet and precious.

I was taking her picture the other day and I caught one of her sneezing. I thought it was cute, so I had to post it. I'm going to be really sad when she outgrows some of her clothes. It's so much fun dressing her. Jaron helps pick out her hair bow and bracelet every morning.

Jaedyn still has reflux and will continue taking her Reglan and Zantac indefinitely. Her doctor said she will probably not outgrow it until she is around six months old. I pray for her daily as does her brothers, hoping that will help her. As long as she keeps gaining weight she should be fine. We are just so happy that she's a part of our crazy family.

Soccer Has Ended...

Last week Jaron had his last soccer game for the fall season, it was a double header. His team did awesome! Out of eight games, they won six...technically they won all of them. The two they lost, the other team had forfeited before because they didn't have enough players, but that's okay. They all had a good time and that's all that matters, at least it's supposed to be. I know the kids like to win too.

Jaron ended up making three goals this season, so I think he enjoyed it a little more than he has in the past. Towards the end of the season he started playing around more than normal. It wasn't always a good idea to have both him and Jace on the field at the same time, but their best friends so what can you do.

I'm kind of glad that it's over just because I don't like being a single mom at things like this, but I'm really going to miss not having to make dinner on Thursday nights. We really did enjoy eating dinner at the concession stand...mmmm nachos, hot dogs, chips, and hot cocoa (I only went for the nachos and hot cocoa). Next time I think Jaron will play through the rec center so that Josh can attend all of his games, but it was nice to be able to do this for free. It's an awesome thing our stake does for the kids.

Here's a picture of Jaron's soccer team this season. It was nice that we're all in the same ward so that all the kids already knew each other.

Bottom: Tanner, JARON, McKenzie, Sage, Sadie, Jace

Good job BULLETS! You guys did awesome this season!

What Did You Say???

Being a mom is the greatest gift of all, but along with motherhood comes some frustrations, and here are mine... Since having three kids, a lot of my clothes and shoes don't fit me anymore. The clothes for obvious reasons (I am working to try and remedy this), but the shoes, that's the most frustrating part. Before I had any kids I could wear between a size 9 and 10 shoe, yes that's right, I have big feet because I'm so tall. Anyway, after our last little angel we have been blessed with I now wear a size 11. Can I tell you how frustrating it is not being able to wear most of my shoes from before and trying to find new, cute shoes in that size. I totally feel like I'm discriminated against.

Last weekend while out and about with the family, Josh bought me a couple new pairs of shoes (below). I thought they were so cute, I just had to get them in two different colors. So, while I was getting down my size 11's to try on I heard a little voice, it was Jaron's, behind me say, "Why do you wear such a big size?" I turned around to him and said, "What did you just say?" I wanted to make sure I heard him correctly. I think he could sense that it probably wasn't the right thing to say so he said, "I didn't say anything". So then I preceded to tell him that I wear such a big size because I had him and Jantzen and Jaedyn. He just gave me a look like, "I'm sorry" and then turned to Josh. Josh then told him, "You just got yourself in trouble, huh".

This isn't the first time I have heard a lovely comment from him regarding my post pregnancy body. After I had Jantzen, I was trying on a skirt for church and came out to see Josh and Jaron on my bed. Jaron was only four at the time. I told Josh that the skirt made my toosh look big and Jaron said, "You can say that again!" Josh couldn't stop laughing.

All I have to say is, my kids are so lucky that I love them!

Goodbye Old Friend...

This last Sunday we received some sad news. Josh got a text from his good friend Spencer letting us know that Tiancum had passed away that morning. Tiancum was Spencer and Jann's dog that was born around the same time as Jaron.

Until we moved to Vegas, Jaron and Tiancum were best buddies. They played together all the time and it was so cute how protective Tiancum was of Jaron. Any time someone would try to get close to Jaron, Tiancum would step out in front of him and give you a look of, "Don't mess with him or you'll have to deal with me!" He was one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met, so loving and gentle, yet so big in size.

We told Jaron the news as we were leaving church and it was the saddest thing, Jaron got teary eyed. He was very sad and upset about Tiancum being gone. It actually made me tear up a little too. It won't be the same going to visit without him there drooling all over us.

Here is an old picture I had of Jaron and Tiancum together when Jaron was only 3 1/2 years old. It shows how big Tiancum was, but also how loving he was. We'll miss you buddy!

Jaedyn's Birth Announcement

I meant to post this sooner, but I forgot to, so here it is now...

This was the announcement that my friend Lara made for Jaedyn. It took me sending several pictures before I got the combination just the way I wanted it. I think it turned out super cute, she did such an awesome job! Thanks Lara for putting up with my indecisiveness.

Halloween 2009

I'm a little slow at posting this, but here are our pictures from Halloween.

It was getting close to trunk or treat time so I was rushing to take pictures of the kids while carving their pumpkins and making chili. Jaedyn looked so cute in her Halloween outfit, especially her socks. I found Halloween socks for both her and Jantzen at Target, Jaron is "too old" to wear crazy socks. They were only $1 total for both of them so I couldn't pass them up, especially Jantzen's. His fit his personality so well...we call him our "Little Monster" at home.

No one really ate the chili, except for me, so my kids didn't eat dinner (I'm such a good mom). I wish they weren't such picky eaters, it drives me nuts sometimes! So, after I ate chili, the kids got into their costumes so we could go to the trunk or treat.

Jaron was Anakin Skywalker (from The Clone Wars), which he looks a lot like him so he didn't have to wear the mask, Jantzen was Boba Fett (of course, who else would he be), and Jaedyn was a lady bug (the boys call her Jaedy Bug the lady bug). I think they all looked so cute and I love the way my boys are posing, they are such hams!

Before the trick or treating began, Jaron, Jantzen, and Jace gave me some more poses, they really play the parts of their characters well. I walked around with Jantzen and Jaedyn (she slept in her stroller the whole time) to get candy while Jaron took off with Jace...I guess I'm not cool enough to be with on Halloween anymore.

At first, Jantzen was afraid to go up to anyone and say "trick or treat" until I told him that he didn't need to get any candy, then he changed his mind and decided to. After a while of doing it he started to get really quiet so no one could hear him say "trick or treat" and "thank you". I told him he needs to speak up and he said, "I can't talk very well or loud". That is so not my Jantzilla, he talks very loud to where we are always having to remind him to turn down the volume.

Jantzen just couldn't wait to get home to dive into his candy. He went straight for the suckers. After a few I had to take away his bag so he wouldn't get an upset tummy.

After we were done trunk or treating we went to the Bullinger's house to watch a movie with friends while the kids played outside all night. It was a fun Halloween this year. I can't wait for next year when Jaedyn can actually walk around and do some trick or treating.

Pumpkins & Pumpkin Carving

On Friday we decided it was time to carve our pumpkins. We didn't want to do it too early, otherwise they'd get rotten. Before we did the carving I had to get some pictures of the kids with the pumpkins since we never made it to a pumpkin patch this year, hopefully next year we'll make it. We were actually heading to one and I forgot my camera, so this is our pumpkin patch this year...our backyard.

I thought this picture of the kids turned out really cute, even though it took several shots to get the boys to smile while making sure Jaedyn stayed upright, she kept falling over. I even got a few of her crying, but this was the cutest.

I then had to get individual pictures of the kids with the pumpkins. Jaron and Jantzen were posing so good for me, Jantzen even tried to make up his own poses, it was funny and cute. Jaedyn only gave me a couple shots to get one of her. Only one of them turned out, she was done with the whole picture thing. All of the kids look so cute!

After we were done with pictures we started the carving. First we had to gut the pumpkins, which Jantzen wanted nothing to do with, he thought it was gross, which made for a cute picture. Jaron was a trooper and helped me out. Anyone hungry?

We didn't actually finish the carving that night because I took Jantzen trunk or treating with friends and Jaron went to play at Jace's house, so we finished them on Saturday night before we went to our ward trunk or treat.

The boys picked out Star Wars The Clone Wars Troopers, which we couldn't finish Jantzen's because he picked out the hardest, most detailed one. I waited too long to get the princess patterns for Jaedyn and they were gone, so she got a happy face. Next year I will make sure to get the princess' early. I think they turned out cute and we got a lot of comments on them at the trunk or treat, some people even came over to take pictures of them.
