Here She Comes!

So, I've already posted that Jaedyn's crawling all over the place, but I never put on any pictures of her doing it, so here they are...

It's so fun to watch her crawl everywhere. When she's on the carpet she'll crawl normal, but when she gets on the tile she uses one leg to move herself and just scoots on the other leg. She will also giggle or talk the whole time she's moving, not to mention she's really fast! You can turn your head for 2 seconds and she's crawled to the opposite side of the room she was on.



Now that Jaedyn can move where she wants to (mostly), she has found some new "toys" in the house to play with. One of these new "toys" are the door stops. She'll crawl over to them and spend a long time flipping them so they'll make that funny noise they do...she loves it! That noise makes her laugh, it's so cute!



Another thing Jaedyn's loving about crawling is the fact that she can make it to the stairs, she's so fascinated by them. Thank goodness she can't crawl up them yet, I don't want to have to worry about her falling down and hitting her head on the tile. I know that day is coming soon though, but for now she just hangs out on the bottom step wishing she could follow her brothers as they run up.


I just love what a happy little girl she is!

Pioneer Day 2010

Last weekend we celebrated Pioneer Days with our stake. The boys look forward to this every year, even though it feels like it's a million degrees outside.

On Friday night we went and enjoyed the BBQ dinner with the Foisy's. The kids enjoyed hanging out and relaxing on the grass. (I kind of had a hard time getting Jaedyn and Avery to look at the camera at the same time...they are a couple of super cute girls!)

There was also a rope making tent that Jaron went to. He made this rope which Josh and I think is a great thing to have to keep the boys under control...I don't think they like it very much though.


This is the face of a hungry, tired little girl. Poor Jaedyn was being fussy around 9:30ish, so we decided to leave. It didn't occur to me until we got home that she was being fussy because she was hungry and we totally forgot to feed her. What awesome parents we are!


On Saturday we went to the carnival part of Pioneer Days. The boys love this, me not so much because of the heat. The first thing Jaron and Jantzen did was the wall climb. I tried to get them to go together, but that didn't work very well.



Next up was all the water slides. This year we remembered the swimsuits. Last year we didn't and the boys had to wear wet clothes all night. This year I was really wishing they had water slides for the adults, it was sooo hot and humid! I did, however, stand at the bottom of the slides and got a little wet when the kids came down and splashed the water...that felt good. I also had my squirt bottle fan that never left my side the whole time we were there.

I love the expressions on Jaron and Jantzen's faces every time they went down the slides. Again, I tried to get them to go down together, but again it didn't happen. They spent about an hour on the water slides and had so much fun.






Notice how Jaron's sitting at the top in the first picture while Jantzen slides down, and the opposite in the second picture. I told them both to go at the same time, but they just sat there.


While the boys were enjoying the relief from the heat, Josh and Jaedyn hung out on the blanket, saving us a place to watch the fireworks at the end of the night. I think she was enjoying being outside, crawling around although she didn't venture off the blanket. I think maybe she still doesn't like the grass.


One of the last things Jaron and Jantzen did was the jumbo boxing. One would think that Jantzen would totally kick Jaron's behind, but that didn't happen. Jaron was actually beating Jantzen up and even got a good shot to his face that made him super angry. Jantzen threw off his gloves and gave Jaron the look of death, he was so mad, but quickly got over it. He put his gloves back on and proceeded to swing at Jaron with everything he had. I don't think he got very many hits, but he seemed to really enjoy it. They both had a lot of fun boxing with each other.



After the boys were done playing around we got something to eat before the fireworks started. Jaedyn really enjoyed her graham crackers and a little bit of a scone with me.


When we were all done with dinner we just hung out, waiting for the fireworks to start. Jaedyn was a daddy's girl most of the night while the boys just wanted to be with friends and goof around.

I don't know what Jantzen was doing here, being himself I guess. That's my Jantzilla!


This was a picture that Avery took of Jantzen. She was wanting to see him on my camera and then asked if she could take his picture.


Don't the boys look so cute in their matching clothes? I brought dry shorts for them, but they decided to keep their swimsuits on, oh well.


Finally the fireworks started, they were good again this year. Jaedyn loved them except the really loud ones, she jumped a little. I don't blame her, they were really loud. My ears were ringing the rest of the night and I couldn't hear very well until the next morning.

Before we packed up and went home I caught Jantzen and Avery sharing a chair together. It was so cute, I had to get a picture.


We had a good time again this year at Pioneer Days, even with the heat. It's fun to have traditions to look forward to every year. Maybe one of these years I'll get used to the heat and it won't bother me so much, and maybe not. Next year should be more fun when Jaedyn can do some of the games with the boys. Until then...

And So It Begins...

I know Jaedyn's growing up faster than I want her too, but this was something I was hoping would be a long ways away...an obsession with cell phones! Any time there's one in her sight, she goes crazy and wants it. I know a lot of kids are like that, but this little girl is one smart cookie. She's figured out how to unlock my phone and use my speed dial. She's called Josh a few times, her grandma and grandpa King, and she's even gotten on my T-Zones (it's a T-Mobile thing) that I don't pay for, but I'll still get charged for getting on them...I don't want that phone bill.

I just love the concentrated look on Jaedyn's face while she's trying to figure things out...it's too cute! I'm hoping it'll be a long, long time before she figure's out texting. Jaron and Jantzen think it's so cute how fascinated she is by my phone, the poor girl doesn't get much personal space to herself.



I just had to throw in these pictures of Jaedyn after I took my phone away from her. It was like she was pouting and trying to give me a "please can I have it back" look.

Don't you just want to pinch those cute cheeks? I do!

11 Months Already?

Today our Jaedy Bug is 11 months old, I know, it's going by way too fast! Here are some things about Jaedyn at 11 months...

* She still weighs 17 lbs (I'm not sure how well my scale works)

* She's 28 1/2 in tall

* She has started crawling and is EVERYWHERE!

* She loves to crawl on the tile, we don't know why though

* She has started standing up with a little help

* She has her 2 bottom front teeth almost all the way out

* She thinks playing with mine and Josh's teeth is funny, but won't let us touch hers

* She loves to give kisses

* She's very ticklish, especially on her collarbone

* She loves to stick out her tongue and make clicking sounds with it

* She loves to smack her lips and make noises

* She loves to clap

* She likes to get up on her knees when she plays

* She loves to chew on her shoes instead of wearing them

* She loves to dance to music

* She likes to throw things, especially our cell phones

* When she's done eating she'll throw her food off her tray
* She loves to play peek-a-boo

* She's a good eater, better than her brothers

* Her favorite foods are strawberries, graham crackers, mac and cheese, and nightly popcicles with her daddy

* She doesn't like to lay down when she's getting her diaper changed

*She takes 2-3 naps a day and still sleeps all night

* She's napping in her crib now and loves it

* She loves to be tossed in the air, she has the cutest giggle when we do that

* She loves to sleep with her blanket over her face

* She loves to chew on my camera case more than other things

* She loves to get into her brothers toys

* She loves to tackle her brothers

* When you ask her, "Who's a pretty girl", she'll raise her hand

* She has a smile and laugh that just melts your heart

* When you look at her you can't help but smile and think the world is a beautiful place

* She's by far the cutest little girl EVER!

We all love our little princess so much and we can't imagine our lives without her in it. We look forward to next month when we get to celebrate her being with our family for a year. We love you so much Jaedyn!!

Jantz's Spiderman Party!

Yesterday Jantzen got to celebrate his birthday some more, but with his friends this time. We continued the Spiderman theme and had the church gym all decorated for him when he arrived.

Here's the invitation I made this year for Jantzen's birthday...


I made cupcakes this time instead of buying them, although I think buying them is a little easier time wise. Jantzen did inform me though that spider webs are white, not black, so I made a special cupcake with a white web just for him...I think they all turned out pretty cute and they were yummy.





I was so proud of myself this year because I did a lot of homemade stuff for Jantzen's party. Some of the other things I did were games. This was the "Spiderland" game. It's played just like like "Candyland", but I colored different Spiderman pictures, the good guys to advance on the board and the bad guys (Venom, Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus) that made the kids lose a turn.


Another game I made was "Pin The Spider On The Web". I made the web out of yarn and the spiders out of felt, pipe cleaners, and googly eyes (that's what Jantz calls them).


When the kids first arrived they got to color bags for their pinata candy. They all seemed to enjoy the coloring, the girls more than the boys.


When they were all done coloring we started the games. First we played "Spiderland". Jaron was my helper and walked along letting the kids draw their cards. It was a little chaotic, but fun at the same time. Avery ended up making it to "Spiderland" first and won the game.


Next up was "Pin the Spider on the Web". Jantzen went first, of course, but he didn't get very close to the middle of the web. It ended up being Bailey that won, but I was later informed, and you can tell by the picture of her, that she peeked. That's okay though, it was still fun for the kids and the spiders looked super cute all over the web at the end of the game.



We had more time than I thought so we played a couple more games before we did presents and cupcakes. Another game we played that the kids had a blast with was "Spider, Spider, Bite!" You play it just like "Duck, Duck, Goose!"

It was fun watching and listening to the kids play this game. When Jantzen was it he would say, "Spider, Spider, Bit", instead of "Bite"...it was so cute! When it was Jaron's turn to be it, he had Dallin chasing him, so I grabbed and held him so Dallin could get him. All the kids thought that was funny.


Next up was pinata time. We lined the kids up so they could all have a turn hitting Spiderman. I told them they could all have one hit, but unfortunately not all the kids got a turn. After about five kids, it was McClayn's turn. She must have a super strong swing because she be-headed poor Spiderman.



I had all the kids get their bags they colored, had them line up, and then told them to "GO!". It was a crazy mad house of kids trying to get candy! There would've been a little more candy, but someone (I won't mention any names...Josh), ate some of it during the other games. I think all the kids got a good amount of candy anyway.



After the candy was all gone, we played one more game, "Spiderman Says". Jantzen was Spiderman and told all the kids what to do. He did a good job of tricking the kids and getting them out, and playing around a bit himself. And it just happened to be that Bailey won this game too, she's good! (Not to mention she's one of the girls Jantzen says he's going to marry when he's older)


Finally came the part Jantzen was anxiously waiting for...the presents!! He had so much fun opening his presents, what person doesn't. He got a ton of fun new toys, that he was so excited to play with. His friends were really good to him this year.

Jaron was really excited for the new Bionicle Jantzen got from Avery. He put it together when we got home and has been playing with it ever since.





After his presents were all opened, it was time to sing "Happy Birthday" and eat cupcakes. Jantzen got a little embarrassed when we sang to him, but I know he liked it too.


All the kids ate two cupcakes each and they probably would have eaten more, but I didn't have more for them. I'm glad they liked them.

Jantzen really enjoyed his, as you can tell. He always eats the frosting off first, then the cake part. He's such a funny kid!



After cupcakes, we still had about 10-15 minutes left of the party, so thanks to some helpers of mine who blew up balloons, the kids got to just run around with balloons the rest of the time. I know they all had fun with the other games we played, but I think this was the funnest part for them. They all got to run wild and what kid doesn't like to do that...I know mine do.



When the party was all over and everything cleaned up, we headed to Red Robin for Jantzen's birthday dinner. We didn't go on his actual birthday because we were waiting for family to come into town to go. And yes, Red Robin is where the boys always want to go for their birthday's.

All the kids had their usual...mac and cheese. After they ate, some of the servers came and sang the Red Robin "Happy Birthday" song and gave Jantzen his ice cream sundae. He was really excited for this part of dinner and he had a fun time enjoying his ice cream, as you can tell. Both him and Tate had a good time hanging out and you can tell they come from the same family...they are both very cheesy little boys!





Thank you to my family members, Nena, Kevin, and Sadie, that helped decorate the gym for the party...it was a big help, and thank you to my friend Lara for being my photographer and for getting a ton of fun pictures. And another thank you to all of Jantzen's friends that came to celebrate his birthday with him. Everything turned out so good for his party, it was a big success! I have so much fun doing things like this for my kids and I know they love it too. I love you Jantzen!
