Flip 'N Out Fun!

Last Wednesday we took the kids to Flip 'N Out for their school fundraiser. We have never been there before and the boys were so excited to go. When we got there it was crazy busy, there was a line out the door that we had to wait in. It's a good thing the weather here isn't freezing in February.

When we got inside, the boys took off onto the wall to wall trampoline. It was actually pretty cool and if I didn't pee my pants when I jump I would've gotten on with them. They quickly found their friends and spent the next hour jumping and having fun.

Jantzen took a little break from the trampoline to play in the bounce house...

Then he quickly went back to the trampoline to climb and jump on the sides of the trampoline. He was being quite the entertainer on it.

Since Jaedyn is too small to get on the trampoline with all the crazy big kids, she spent her time running around, dancing, and playing with the game machines. She was being so cute and having fun on her own.

Jaron spent most of his time playing with his friend Sierra. They had a blast playing on the blow up slide and were inseparable the whole time we were there.

Jantzen got in on some of the slide action with Jaron and Sierra and when I tried to get some pictures of them sliding down, Jantzen jumped up right in front of the camera...I should've known he'd do that.

The boys played some more on the trampoline, they wrestled, and played in the bounce house again. They were getting all sweaty and stinky, but they were having fun.

Jantzen eventually found some of his friends since Jaron wasn't paying a lot of attention to him, he was too busy playing with Sierra. I think by the looks on their faces that they were having a good time...

Jaedyn was feeling a little left out that she couldn't go on the trampoline, so one of the employees was kind enough to take her for a little jump on it...Jaedyn loved it and didn't want to get off.

The kids had a fun time at Flip 'N Out. They wore themselves out and slept really good, so it was a win win for everyone.

Blue and Gold 2011

Last night was Jaron's annual Blue and Gold banquet for cub scouts. He was excited because he earned his Bear award and he's only been in the Bear Den for six months. He also earned his "map and compass" belt loop, that makes a total of 15 belt loops so far for him. Now, he says he's going to work on getting more belt loops and arrow points.

We enjoyed a spaghetti dinner, that the boys loved. It's a favorite of theirs at our house. For dessert we had yummy white cake. For some reason the boys weren't allowed to make cakes this year to go along with the theme, I'm not really sure why, but I guess that made less work for me. After dinner we watched all the dens perform their skits. I couldn't hear anything Jaron said for his, but he was laughing, so I guess it was funny. After the skits, the boys got their awards.

Here's my cute little cub scout and his awards (never mind the fact that he's not wearing his Bear scarf, he lost it and hasn't been able to find it yet and I don't want to buy him a new one)...

When the banquet was all over, it was time to clean up. This is Jantzen doing his part to help with the cleaning process...he took a balloon. What a helpful little kid.

On the way home Jaedyn decided she needed to take charge of the balloon and Jantzen was nice enough to let her have it...just in the car though. I went to take a picture of her with the balloon and I'm not sure if she's trying to give me a dirty look here or if she's looking at Josh, hmmmm...

After that, I did get both her and Jantzen to give me a good Goddard "cheeser" smile...

Jaron had another fun night with the scouts. It makes me happy that he loves cub scouts so much and I'm so proud of him for all the hard work he does earning his awards.

18 Months...

Today our little princess is 18 months old. I can't believe how fast she's growing up. She has brought so much happiness and laughter to our family, we just love her to pieces.

Here are some things about Jaedyn at 18 months...

♥ She now weighs 23 lbs.
♥ She's 31 in. tall
♥ She is busier than her brothers ever were
♥ She has added "thank you", "bless you", "amen", "yes", "mine", "pretty", "bow", "book", "baby", "car", "ca-ca", "uh oh", "cheese", "shoe", and "up" to her vocabulary
♥ When you say "yucky" to her, she will stick her finger up her nose (the boys like to make her do that)
♥ She loves to take her left sock off her foot and run around like that
♥ She loves to sing
♥ She loves to dance to the "Mickey Mouse" clubhouse songs
♥ She loves to wrestle with her brothers
♥ She laughs at any random thing her brothers do
♥ She loves to hit Jantzen on the head with the Rock Band drum sticks (they're now hidden from her)
♥ She loves to tickle everyone and herself
♥ She's a big time momma's girl
♥ She loves to take her daddy's hat off his head when he gets home from work and put it on her head
♥ She loves shoes and clothes
♥ She loves to blow kisses (mostly to herself in the mirror)
♥ She loves to read books
♥ When you go to take her picture, she'll automatically say "cheese"
♥ She loves to have slumber parties in the toy room with her brothers on the weekends
♥ She's very possessive of her cozy coupe car
♥ She loves her brothers toys as much as her own girly toys
♥ She loves to make me chase her down the sidewalk at the park
♥ She's trying to walk down the stairs instead of sliding down on her bum
♥ She loves to push the TV buttons on/off
♥ She loves to play dress up with my shoes
♥ She loves milk, hot chocolate, orange juice, quesadilla's, macaroni and cheese, cottage cheese, toast, chicken nuggets, graham crackers, goldfish crackers, popcorn, almost any kind of fruit, and anything sweet
♥ She takes her vitamins better than her brothers and hers are nasty!
♥ She loves to color (she's the only one of my kids that has colored on the walls)
♥ She has learned how to open the cabinets with the child proof locks on them (the boys never did this)
♥ She climbs on everything now!
♥ She loves to help unload the dishwasher
♥ She loves to use her brothers' dump truck as a seat
♥ She's constantly playing with the water cooler, my make up, and my hair stuff
♥ She loves to unload my purse and her diaper bag
♥ She has the cutest little laugh
♥ She loves to chat all day long, it's so cute
♥ She listens and obeys better than her brothers
♥ She's a very loving/caring little girl
♥ She's still the cutest little girl EVER!

Here are a few random pictures I took last week of Jaedyn doing some of the things she loves...

(She loves this old dump truck. Anytime the boys are playing with it, she'll try to take it from them so she can sit in it...and yes, she's saying "cheese" in this picture)

(She LOVES her Tinkerbell fairies she got for Christmas and lately I've been catching her playing with them in her Barbie car. It's so cute to watch her play with them and drive them around the toy room)

In all honesty, words can't describe how much we all love this little girl. We are so lucky to have her in our family.

Family Game Night

Last night we attended the first "Family Game Night" at the boys' school. They've been so excited to go to this for the last week. However, Jantzen came home sick from school on Tuesday, so I don't think he was as excited to go anymore. I gave him the option of coming or staying home and he chose to go and play games. When we got there he didn't want to play anything though, he just wanted to sit down and relax. Jaron jumped right into playing games with Jace. The first game they played was "Blockus". I had never heard of that game, but Jaron said he played it last year in G.A.T.E. and he loved it. I'm not sure who won, but I could tell they were all having a good time.

Then Jaron and Jace went to play "Headbandz". It's a game where you have a head band with a picture on it, but you can't see what your picture is, you have to ask the other person questions to figure it out. The boys were being silly and giggling like little girls the whole time.

Jaedyn thought she needed to come and join in on the fun they were having. She interrupted them several times just so she could get a hug from Jaron, it was so cute and she was having a good time.

After Jaedyn was done with Jaron she went over to try and play with Jantzen. She was offering him her sippy, but he wasn't in the mood to play around with her. He had a headache and didn't want to do anything but sit. I guess I should've just made him stay home with Josh.

This picture captures exactly how Jantzen was feeling...poor kid!

Jaedyn was being such a sweet little sister to Jantzen. She was giving him "loves", but again, he wasn't in the mood for anything. Even though Jantzen wasn't in the mood to play with her, she still had a fun time running around and eating popcorn with her daddy.

The last game Jaron and Jace played was "Scrabble". I actually joined them for this game (that's why there's no picture of it). We had fun playing this and Jaron won, I didn't do so well.

After game time was over, we all went back to the cafeteria and the school staff did a drawing for all the games everyone just played (I think there was about 80 of them). We were lucky and got picked to win a game. I let Jaron pick it out and, of course, he picked "Blockus". He said that it was his favorite game. We didn't even make it home before he started playing it again right in the hallway. I let him play a couple games before we went home and his teacher even got in on some play time with him.

Game night was actually pretty fun, even though Jantzen didn't play anything. I know it would've been more fun had he been feeling better. Hopefully next time he won't be sick and can join Jaron.

Valentine's Day 2011

Our Valentine's Day this year was busy, but fun. We started the day off at Jantzen's class party. All the kids in his class made their own Valentine's envelopes for their treats and I think Jantzen did such a cute job on his heart, he was so proud of it...

And, as usual, they had a ton of yummy treats to enjoy. Jaedyn came along for the festivities and she doesn't like to be left out of anything. Lucky for her, her brothers like to share with her and that's just what Jantzen did. He tried to give her all kinds of treats, but I told him only one. She loved every bite of it.

After Jantzen's party was over, we headed home for a "lunch break" before we went back to the school for Jaron's party. When we got back to the school, Jaron was making his Valentine goodie bag. He was nice enough to let Jantzen help him design it. I didn't end up getting a picture of it, but Jantzen had drawn a picture of Boba Fett on it (I guess his obsession hasn't gone away yet) and Jaron loved it. Nothing says "Happy Valentine's Day" like a Star Wars bounty hunter.

After the boys were done coloring, it was time for the kids to hand out their Valentine's. While Jaron did that, Jaedyn and Jantzen played around in his classroom.

For some reason lately, Jaedyn has a fascination with emptying bags and my purse is no exception. She climbed up on her stroller and took things out one at a time until she got to my checkbook, then I stopped her. That's not something I want to lose.

Jaedyn picked out her skirt she was wearing and she looked really cute in it with her heart leggings (you can't always see them very well because her skirt is a lot longer than I thought it would be on her...she's a tiny little thing). If I tried to take the skirt off of her she'd get mad and want it back on, it was funny!

I'm not sure what's up with Jaron's face in this picture, but I thought this was a cute one of the boys. I love how they are good friends, even with their age difference.

After Jaron was done handing out his Valentine's, they got to enjoy some yummy treats and hang out. I thought since I had just fed the kids lunch, not to mention they already had treats at Jantzen's party, that they'd be full...wrong! They wanted more treats. One of Jaron's classmates was nice enough to give Jaedyn a Valentine and she loved every bit of it! It was "finger lickin' good".

The kids did some more running around and playing and in the midst of all that, I caught the boys snuggling with Jaedyn on the reading pillows...it was so cute! Of course Jaedyn wouldn't take her cookie out of her mouth for a picture, but it was still cute. I LOVE how my boys love their little sister!

When we got home from school, I had little gifts for Valentine's Day for the kids set out on the table. I've never really done anything big for Valentine's Day, but I do like to get the kids a little something.

I got Jaron a new "BeyBlade" he's been wanting...

I got Jantzen some drawing paper, construction paper, new crayons ('cause he doesn't already have a million of them), and a new "Tall Tales Mater" car...

I got Jaedyn some new "Minnie Mouse" books, "Minnie Mouse" socks, and a pink monkey...

Yep, I didn't get them one piece of candy. We still have leftover candy from Christmas and they haven't been eating it, so I thought, "Why waste the money". Besides, they were so happy with what they got, they didn't even mention anything about candy. Jaron was quick to open up his "BeyBlade" and play, Jantzen went straight to drawing in his notepads (now he won't steal our computer paper do draw on...for a while at least), and Jaedyn played with her monkey and looked at her books.

While I was doing some reading with Jaron, Josh got home and snuck in with these roses without me even noticing it. I was really surprised he got them for me, they were really beautiful and they smelled really good. The card he got me was very sweet also. It said...

For My Wife
I Love You

They're only three words,
but when I say them,
I'm telling you that
you've changed my life
for the better
and that tomorrow
wouldn't be complete
without you by my side.

I love you.
That's all I know to say...
but in my heart,
it's everything.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Thank you so much for everything that you do.
It really doesn't go unnoticed.
You really are the best thing that has ever happened to me.
I am very lucky to have you.

Love Always,
Josh
XOXOYYYOXOX

(Sorry, the "Y's" are a personal inside thing between me and Josh, so I won't be sharing what they mean)

Since I've never really made a big deal about Valentine's Day, I hadn't planned on anything special for dinner. A friend of mine told me about some heart shaped pizzas for Valentine's Day, so I thought that might be fun to have for dinner for the kids...they loved it!

After dinner, we all hung out while the kids played with their gifts. Jaedyn absolutely loved her new books (she LOVES Minnie Mouse) and I thought it was so sweet how Jantzen went and sat by her to read her books to her. They were so cute together...

The rest of the night was spent playing with the kids. Josh played "BeyBlades" with Jaron and Jantzen until Jantzen got bored, then I read some stories to him and Jaedyn before it was time for bed. Jaedyn just had to wear her new "Minnie Mouse" socks to bed...she loves them so much!

It turned out to be a really nice day for all of us. We all got along and enjoyed our time together as a family...I LOVE MY FAMILY!!
