Happy Halloween...2012!

We started off our Halloween evening with homemade chili and rolls for dinner, they were both yummy. After we were all done, the kids got their costumes on and we headed out the door to do some more trick-or-treating...

We went for a walk to meet up with some friends so we wouldn't be alone...

This year I decided that Jaron was finally old enough to go trick-or-treating with his friends and without me. I figured since he has a cell phone and the kids he planned to go with were good kids, that he'd be okay. Here he is with his friends getting ready to go...

Here's Jaedyn with some of her friends...aren't they all so cute?

Photobucket

Here's the whole group of kids not being very cooperative for a picture. I guess they'd rather just go get candy than have all of us moms get a million pictures of them.

Photobucket

Jaedyn did really good this year going up to the doors of each house all by herself...she was having so much fun!

Photobucket

Jantzen went to the doors with her a few times, but most of the time he was with his friends. This is the last Halloween that he gets to go trick-or-treating with his friend Jansen. I doubt that he'll ever have another good friend with his name.

Jaedyn was okay with Jantzen hanging out with his friends because she had her own friends to hang out with. These girls stayed together most of the night and they were just so cute together. I love how they were holding hands...

One of the last stops we made was at our neighbor's house. He dressed up this year and scared some of the kids, but my kids knew who he was and they weren't afraid of him at all. He gave all the kids some candy and when we got home we found out that he had brought over three big canisters of Snickers, one for each of the kids. Every year he gives my kids large candy bars (sometimes 5 or 6 each), but the rest of the trick-or-treaters get regular candy...my kids are just special, I guess.

On our way home I captured a picture of the moon because I thought it looked awesome...

It has been such a crazy busy day today, but my kids have all had a fun time and so all the tiredness that I feel right now is okay...I'm going to bed now!

Jantzen's School Trunk-or-Treat

After Jaedyn's preschool Halloween party was over, we headed straight over to Jantzen's school for his trunk-or-treat. When we got there, the kids were all in their costumes and ready to go get some candy. Jantzen and his best friend JoseAlfredo made sure they were in line together...

 ...all through the school...

As Jantzen and Jose got ready to head outside to the cars, Jaedyn joined in line with them and was given a trick-or-treat bag by the school staff so she could get some candy too...she was so excited! Jaedyn's really lucky that the school staff all love her and let her participate in everything.

Along the way we found a mini skeleton, aka Krew...

Here's Jantzen and Jaedyn getting way too much candy, but they were loving it...

This is Jantzen's whole class (he's in the back by his teacher), including Jaedyn because she's like their mascot...

...and a funny picture of them all...

Then the kids went back to class to have their Halloween party...

The kids love trick-or-treating and there's still more to come!

Halloween Party...Preschool Style!

Today was a busy, busy day! This morning Jaedyn had her Halloween party at her preschool. She was so excited to wear her Super Girl costume again. Miss Heidi started off the party with a Halloween story that all the kids got to be a part of. Jaedyn was the broom in the story.

Photobucket

After the story, the kids all played a Halloween dancing game. When the scary music played they got to dance around, but when it stopped, they had to stop too. It was funny watching the poses that Jaedyn would have to hold when the music stopped...

Photobucket

 ...like, the butt-shot...

Photobucket

 ...and the laying-down-not-sure-what-she's-doing-here pose...

The next game the kids played was "Pumpkin, Pumpkin, Ghost" (like duck, duck, goose). Some of the kids had a hard time understanding how to play this game, but it was sure fun watching them running around and giggling.

Photobucket

Next up was some "Pumpkin Bowling". Jaedyn got to use a mini pumpkin to roll and try to knock down some water bottles. Instead of rolling the pumpkin, she threw it at the water bottles...it was funny!

Photobucket

While Miss Heidi got snacks ready, the kids got to play outside for a little bit...

Photobucket

There was one more activity the kids got to do before it was snack time. They got to pass around bags of different creepy things and feel inside to see if they could guess what it really was. Jaedyn, along with most of the kids didn't want to touch anything, but she ended up feeling the "monster hair", and that was it.

Photobucket

 Finally it was snack time...

Photobucket

...and Jaedyn loved it, except for the carrots!

Photobucket

While the kids enjoyed their snacks, Miss Heidi read them a Halloween story...

Photobucket

There was one more game the kids got to play before it was time to go home. It was called "Witches Broom". The kids had to pass around a broom while Halloween music was playing and when the music stopped, the person holding the broom was the witch. Jaedyn got really excited when she was the witch.

Photobucket

At the end of the party Jaedyn got to hand out some Halloween goodie bags that I put together for all the kids. She was super excited to get the cat bag...

Photobucket

Jaedyn had so much fun at her preschool Halloween party. Our next stop is the trunk-or-treat at Jantzen's school and then trick-or-treating tonight. Busy, busy!

Field Trip to Gilcrease Orchard

Today Jaedyn had her first preschool field trip. Since Halloween is tomorrow they went to Gilcrease Orchard to pick pumpkins. Jaedyn was so excited to go on a field trip, especially since a lot of her friends were going to be there.

Here's Jaedyn walking down to the pumpkin patch with her friend Emmalee. I thought it was so cute how they were holding hands as they walked...

Photobucket

Jaedyn loved exploring in the dirt, trying to find a good pumpkin with all her friends. Unfortunately for her, I didn't let her take the pumpkin she found home because we already had some. She still had fun anyway.

Photobucket

After the kids were all done looking for pumpkins, we headed back to the entrance of the orchard. There were some fun things to do along our way back. The kids found this wagon and decided to climb in for some fun...

Brody was a gentleman to the girls and gave them a ride in his wagon...

Photobucket

The kids stopped at a maze to have a little fun...

Photobucket

Jaedyn was really enjoying this maze...

Photobucket

Jaedyn and Brody were little buddies and took off in the maze together...

Photobucket

Then, Jaedyn decided to climb on top of the hay and the rest of her friends followed her...

Photobucket

They were all having so much fun running around on top of the hay until Jaedyn slipped and fell off. Luckily she was okay, just a little freaked out. I think she's allergic to hay because her face quickly broke out in a rash, but it was nothing serious. She went on her way and continued to have fun with her friends.

The kids were all a little tired after running around in/on the maze, so Melissa and I took turns pulling them in the wagon. Jaedyn and Brody continued to be little buddies and were joking around with each other about Jaedyn falling off the hay. They were being so cute with their little giggles.

Photobucket

Here's a few more pictures of Jaedyn and some of her friends before it was time for treats. We got separated from the rest of our group back at the pumpkin patch, there were a lot more kids.

Photobucket

That didn't seem to bother these four, they were having a blast together...

Photobucket

Jaedyn was so happy, she was hugging everyone...

Photobucket

At the end of the field trip we all got to enjoy some apple cider donuts and apple cider to drink. They were both so good, Jaedyn love them!

Photobucket

Mommy and her cute little preschool princess (if you look closely you can see the rash on Jaedyn's face)...

Jaedyn and I both had a really good time at the orchard, it's a lot of fun having another child in preschool.

Cutest Little Witch Ever!

Jaedyn got this witch mask from nursery yesterday and she absolutely loves it! I think she looks adorable in it.   It even has her favorite color for the hair...

Photobucket

She has some pretty awesome nursery leaders. They're always doing cute things like this for the kids on the different holidays.

Trunk-or-Treat...2012

Last night we took our kids to our annual ward trunk-or-treat. They were all excited to wear their costumes and get lots of candy. When we got there, we set out our freshly carved pumpkins and decorated the "trunk" of the Tahoe. I think it all turned out really good...

Photobucket

I was able to capture a quick picture of all the kids before they took off to play with their friends, aren't they all so cute?...Jantzen's costume freaks me out a little...

Photobucket

Here's Jaron with his friend Ethan. Jaron had planned on being the Grimm Reaper this year, but after talking things over with Ethan, they both decided to be Boy Scouts. I guess that was okay because I didn't have to buy him a costume, he already had it. I did try to convince them that one of them should carry a bow and the other one should have an arrow through his head, but they both declined. I thought that would have been funny. I guess my humor is a little too old fashioned for them.  This was the last time I saw Jaron for a while, he was having too much fun hanging out with his friends.  I'm not cool enough to hang out with in public anymore.

Photobucket

We invited Nena and her family to join us for the night because her kids missed their ward trunk-or-treat. Here's a shot of our kids with their cousins...

Photobucket

And, here's Jaedyn with her favorite cousin, Sadie...

Photobucket

Here's Sadie giving Jaedyn a little help with her flying maneuvers...

Photobucket

Before the actual trunk-or-treat began, we all enjoyed a yummy dinner that consisted of several different kinds of chili and cornbread. Jaedyn only wanted the cornbread...

After dinner, the costume contest, and the pumpkin carving contest it was time for the kids to get their candy. Jaedyn wanted to start at our car first. Josh handed out the candy while I walked around with the kids (that's the only way I get pictures of the kids, Josh isn't a picture taker)...

Photobucket

Jaron finally decided to join us, only for a minute...

Photobucket

I had a hard time keeping up with Jaedyn, she was having so much fun...

Photobucket

 Check out these two punks...

Photobucket

When the kids were all done getting their sugar, Jaedyn did some more flying...she's so stinkin' cute!  She was so excited to be Super Girl for Halloween.

Photobucket

Here's all the children (yes, I'm including Josh and Kevin in that category), ready to go home...

Photobucket

And, a family picture (because I need some documentation that I was there)...

We all had a fun night!
