Brushing Buddies

Jaedyn's really into brushing her own teeth these days. All we have to say to her is, "Time to brush teeth", and she takes off to the bathroom, gets up on the stool, and tries to reach her toothbrush. I think it's one of the highlights of her day.

It's funny when Jantzen's in there already brushing his teeth because Jaedyn will come in, get up on the stool, and kind of push him off of it...it's hers don't you know! He used to get mad at her when she did that, but he's better about it now, he lets her have it. They usually brush together every night, it's so cute!

It's so nice to see them brushing their teeth in harmony...

Jaedyn's got the whole brushing thing down, she's actually pretty good at it. She won't start brushing until you put her toothpaste on.

Of course, Jantzen gets done before Jaedyn because she takes her sweet time, but when she's done she's really good about putting her toothbrush away...or at least sticking it to the counter (it has a suction cup on the bottom of it). What a good girl!

♥♥Note to Jaedyn...STOP growing up so fast!!

New Family Pictures...

I'm finally getting around to posting our new family pictures. We had them taken back in December by an awesome photographer by the name of Shauni Yee. We went up to Red Rock Canyon and it was such a beautiful, perfect day for pictures. Shauni did an awesome job on all of them! I loved every single one of them, but couldn't post them all on here.

Here are the ones that are my absolute favorites. Beware, there are a lot of them...

I think this one is probably my number one favorite picture. It's so sweet...

My gorgeous boys...

Check out those gorgeous eyes...

In this one I love how Jaron's smile is a "how do I do this smiling thing" kind of smile, how Jaedyn's like "leave me alone, I'm not doing this whole picture thing", and how Jantzen's sticking out his chest saying "I'm a cheeser", can you tell...

Jaedyn really loved eating my necklace and I thought it was fun that Shauni got some cute pictures of her doing it...

This picture was so sweet also. We were done doing pictures and Jaedyn took off, so the boys had to go and be the "protective" big brothers and help her so she didn't fall. I love that we got a picture of that too. It shows how much her brothers love her...

These next three pictures are of Jaedyn just playing around. She wasn't very cooperative at the beginning of pictures, but after we were all done Shauni just followed Jaedyn and took pictures of her doing things. I think she got some really cute ones...

I love this one! Jaedyn was not happy at all to be getting her picture done which is weird because she loves me to take pictures at home. I think it's funny how she was pushing away Jaron and Jantzen and they just thought it was funny...

This family picture I think pretty much sums up how we all are. Jaron is trying so hard to smile that he's biting his bottom lip, I was so worried about the kids sitting where they were supposed to that I had my head pulled back (hence the double chin look...yuck!), Jaedyn was pushing Jantzen away because he was bugging her being where he was, Jantzen had his eyes closed while giving his signature cheesy smile, and Josh just looked soo happy (he doesn't usually smile that big in pictures). So, there you have the crazy Goddard family...

Thanks again Shauni for doing our pictures, we love them all!

Just So Cute!

Jaedyn is such a cute little girl with the funnest personality. Everyday she does something that makes me smile or that cracks me up. She absolutely loves playing with the toys in the toy room and her favorite place to play is on the table. I love listening to her talk in her own little language as she plays, it's the cutest and sweetest thing ever. I wish she could stay little forever.

I caught some cute pictures of Jaedyn the other day as she was playing on the table with the toys. She gave me a couple cute smiles and then went on playing as if I wasn't around, I just love her!

I love how she was using the "Little People Carnival" play set as her chair. Luckily, for the toy, she doesn't weigh that much.

This is what freaks me out the most...when Jaedyn stands up on the table. She's fallen off once and I'm sure it will happen again, I just hope she doesn't get hurt too bad.

And then Jaedyn made me laugh when she turned the toy cooler over and started using it as a seat...she seriously has such a fun personality!

Girls Night...Country Strong Style

Last night I went out for another girls night to see "Country Strong". It was such a good movie, but was very sad. I absolutely love Tim McGraw, but in this movie I actually despised the man. Luckily he's not like his character in real life. The soundtrack was awesome, I'll for sure be getting it.

After the movie we went, again, to our usual...TGI Friday's. It was yummy as always and the conversations were fun even though there weren't as many girls there this time.

Here's me and Lara (it totally looks like I have a funky side pony in this picture, but really, I don't...it was the lady sitting behind me).

Here's Kaysea and Brittny...

I so love my monthly gno's with my friends and I'm excited for all the new movies that are coming out. It gives us plenty of fun nights to plan.

1st Sewing Project...

Today I used my sewing machine for the first time. My parents bought it for me last September and it has just been sitting in my room waiting for me to give it some attention. The last time I used a sewing machine was in 8th grade home economics...I don't even want to count back how many years ago that was. Nothing I made turned out that well back then and that's the reason why I've never tried sewing since then, until now. I have two awesome friends that sew all the time and so it has sparked my interest lately.

Here's my fun new sewing machine, courtesy of my awesome parents...thanks mom and dad!

Since it has been several years since I last attempted to sew anything besides hair bows, I decided to start out with something simple...a pillow case for Jaedyn. She has been showing a lot of interest in her brothers' pillows lately so I decided it was time to get her one, but I didn't have a pillow case to match her crib set. I found some really cute material at JoAnn's that was pink with white polka dots and I used the same ribbon that is on Jaedyn's valances to make it with.

I think it turned out pretty cute and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. It matches her crib and colors in her room so well...

Here's a close up of the ribbon, it's so cute!

I decided to make two pillow cases so I can alternate them, but I ran into some problems on the second one...my needle broke while I was sewing on the ribbon and for some reason the thread in the bobbin keeps jamming up with only two sides left to sew. So, the second pillow case will be done later, but until then Jaedyn is enjoying bedtime tonight with her new pillow and pillow case.

Thanks Savannah for all your help today with this project. Next week I'm going to try making Jaedyn a purse, we'll see how well that turns out. I'll keep ya posted!

A Fun Day at the Park

Today, my friends and I took the kids to the park to enjoy the nice weather. While we waited for Savannah to get there, Lara and I decided to let our kids feed the ducks. Jaedyn has never done this before, so at first she didn't know what to do. All she did was sit there, wondering why all these crazy birds were swarming her, while Dallin and Rylee fed them.

After a few minutes she thought the ducks were funny, so she decided she wanted to feed them too. I couldn't get the bread fast enough to both her and Rylee...Jaedyn was loving it! She was saying something as she was throwing the bread to the ducks, but I couldn't understand it. I know she was happy though.

After we ran out of bread, we took the kids over to play on the park toys. Savannah got there after that, so all the kids got to play together...or I should say, make us chase them together. All the kids enjoyed a picnic lunch and some more play time before we had to leave and go home for naps.

As much as I miss my Utah winters, I do like that I can take my kids to the park here most days out of the year...and they love it to! It's nice to not always be couped up in the house.
