We started out the new year up at Logandale Trails with our friends, the Nelsons, for a day of riding. It's the best time of year to go since the weather is so nice.
When we first got there the boys all took off on a hike, so Jaedyn and I went for a hike by ourselves while Josh went for a ride on his dirt bike. Jaedyn was having so much fun wandering around, even though I wouldn't let her go as high up as the boys were going. She can't wait until she's older so she can go as high as her brothers do.
This is Jaron and Grant being crazy. They're up a lot higher than it looks in this picture. Even Jantzen was a little hesitant to go up as high as they were.
After a little bit of hiking, Luke and Jessica let us take their side-by-side for a ride with the kids. Jaedyn and Jantzen rode in the back, Josh and I were in the front...
...while Jaron rode his dirt bike and Grant rode his four wheeler behind us.
Then we let them get in front of us to lead the way...
We all had a lot of fun on that ride. Josh is really wanting a side-by-side now...I think it would be fun too!
Jaron and Grant did a lot of riding together. Jaron took the little four wheeler for a ride and Grant rode his dirt bike...
Logan even took Jaron for a little ride...
Logan asked Josh to take his picture, then he got a little shy when it came down to it...
A little later we all decided to take a ride up to the petroglyphs, so all the girls plus Jaron and Jantzen loaded up in the side-by-side, Josh rode his dirt bike, Grant rode on the little four wheeler, and Luke and Logan rode on the big four wheeler and we headed out.
We stopped along the way so Josh could show off his jumping skills...
...then we finally made it to the petroglyphs.
All the kids had a fun time exploring up there...you can see it on their faces.
We let the kids play for a while, then we headed back to camp because it was starting to get dark.
Luke got a fire going which made the kids happy because it was starting to get a little cold. The boys had a little too much fun playing with the fire...they're all a bunch a pyros, no matter what age they are!
The Nelsons were staying up there to camp, but we weren't able to because Josh had to go to work...maybe next time.
Jaedyn fell asleep on the way home and she stayed that way the rest of the night. I can't say I blame her, she had a busy day of playing and she does look pretty comfortable on the couch...
The kids are all asking when we can go up to Logandale Trails again to go camping...I hope soon! It's so nice and relaxing up there and I love it that the kids can go off and explore and not sit on their tablets and phones. Now, we just need to figure how we can get a side-by-side to play in.
