Santa Claus and Jumping Jacks

While in St. George for the Thanksgiving weekend we went to see Santa at the mall. We take the kids to see Santa every year on the day after Thanksgiving. It was nice when we got there because there wasn't a long line to wait in. The boys were excited to see Santa and tell him what they want for Christmas, Jaedyn on the other hand hated the guy...and I mean HATED him! Just look at her face...


**That's the face I'm going to have on my Christmas cards this year, I hope everyone likes it.

On Saturday we took the kids to "Jumping Jacks" to burn off some of their never ending supply of energy. There was this little bounce play area only for kids 6 and under, Jaedyn loved it even though she couldn't stay on her two feet very much. Jantzen played in there with her for a little while and kept bouncing her all over the place, she loved it! She giggles so much when Jantzen plays with her. And yes, Josh got in there to play with her too, even though he's way over the age limit!


Jaron and Jantzen ran around from one bounce play thing to another. They went down slides and went through obstacle courses...


I even caught Jaron flying in the air when him and Taylor bounced down one of the slides...

Jaedyn did a lot of wandering herself. She mostly followed the boys to see what they were doing and she would even try to play on the same bounce houses that they would go on, but there were too many other big kids that didn't pay attention to her and almost ran into her a couple times. You can imagine how that made her daddy feel...not happy!


So instead, Jaedyn decided to chill out on Josh's legs and grab a snack. She swiped these crackers out of Nena's bag and just helped herself. She's cute so she can get away with it.



Boy, does she love Wheat Thins!



We then had some more time goofing off with the camera because that's what us Goddard's do.

Here's one that Josh took of us. It's kind of nice to have because we don't have very many pictures of us together, let alone with the both of us in the same picture.

After a couple hours of playing, the kids finally got worn out...Mission accomplished!

Thanksgiving 2010

For Thanksgiving this year we went to St. George to spend the weekend with Josh's family. The boys were excited because all of their cousins (minus AJ) were going to be there, so there was going to be lots of playing for them.

Thanksgiving day was spent eating, eating, more eating, and playing games. Here's Jaron and Carson enjoying their dinner...

And then there's the little kid table with Jantzen, Addy, Coleman, and Tate. Yes, Jantzen did have some food on his plate, but he's so picky that he didn't have very much, so he was the first one done...


Here's the little princess sitting at the counter with Caleb enjoying their Thanksgiving dinner. Jaedyn was so good at trying new things this year. She loved the cheese ball, the sweet potatoes, the olives, and the rolls the best.



After Jaedyn was done eating, she came to join us adults at our table. She made herself at home with grandma and started digging into her food on her plate. She absolutely loved the artichoke dip that Amy made, she couldn't get enough of it. She had to use both a knife and spoon to eat it until we finally took it away...she wasn't too happy about that.


Then, she made her way over to Nena to eat some stuff off her plate. I can't remember what it was that she ate, but she sure loved it all.


After dinner, we all hung out, goofed off in pictures, and played games. Here is a cute picture of me and Nena...

And look, we even passed on our talents to some of our kids...


We spent a good amount of the night helping the kids play Bingo. There was a lot of cheesy, but fun prizes for the kids to win. I know Jantzen doesn't look too thrilled in this picture, but he did have a good time playing.


Jaron had a fun time too, except it took him and Carson forever to get a Bingo. Everyone else had won at least two or three times before they even won once.


When the kids got a Bingo, they got to pick out a prize from the basket. Jantzen, Addy, and Tate all got a Bingo at the same time, so they all got to pick out a prize together.


There were prizes for Bingo's and then there were prizes for blackouts. Neither one of my kids got a blackout and were really bummed, but they did get a bunch of Bingo's so they still got some fun things.

Jantzen mostly picked out candy, but also got a couple Toy Story pens (he loves to draw so they will be nice for him)...


I'm not sure of everything Jaron picked out, but I'm pretty sure that bottle he's holding is candy that he won't eat. I'm not sure why he picked that, maybe he thought it was something else, who knows...


Me and my little Jantzilla...


Jaedyn was a little too young to play Bingo with the big kids, so she got a punch ball as a prize just for being cute, she loved it.


The boys won some glow bracelets and gave them to Jaedyn. Instead of wearing it, she decided it was better as a chew toy. She just chilled out on the couch, chewing her bracelet while the rest of the kids ran around being wild.


It was a crazy Thanksgiving day, but that's to be expected when you have 8 adults and 13 kids (running wild) in one house, but the kids seemed to have a good time.

It was nice to be able to spend time with our family. I'm so thankful for my family and for all they do for me. I have the best husband and kids in the whole world. I thank my Heavenly Father every day for all of them and the blessings they are in my life. I look forward to many more fun holidays together as a family.

Jaron's Thanksgiving Feast

On Wednesday Jaron's class and two other 4th grade classes got together for a Thanksgiving feast before the actual Thanksgiving holiday. Jaron insisted that I make rolls, so I asked him if he wanted me to make homemade rolls or "tooshy" rolls. He, of course, said he wanted the "tooshy" rolls, so that's what I made.

There was a ton of food for the kids to eat, and they all enjoyed every last bit of it. Here's Jaron going for seconds after he already had his dessert...

We were going to set everything up in the school courtyard for the kids to eat, but it was too cold outside, so the teachers made a make shift table on the floor in Jaron's classroom.


While the kids ate their food, they watched "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving", which they all liked. Jaron said they all had a good time, but he got really stuffed. That's what Thanksgiving food is all about...getting stuffed!

Little Christmas Tree Helper

I decided to start putting up our Christmas tree earlier than usual this year. I was hoping to have it done before Thanksgiving, but that's not going happen...there's just too much going on. Anyway, I started putting on the lights a couple nights ago and as soon as I plugged them in Jaedyn freaked out and started crying. I'm not sure why she got scared, but it didn't last very long. She was over it quickly and then went about her business.

A few minutes later, Jaedyn was back with a big smile on her face and was ready to be my little helper...


Jaedyn quickly gained a fascination for Christmas lights and started helping me put them on the tree, it was so cute. After, she would try to play with the lights already on the tree, but quickly learned the phrase "No, No", not that she hasn't heard that before. Now when she goes to touch the lights she looks at me, shakes her head and finger, and says, "No, No". She already listens better than her brothers.


After helping me for a little while, I guess Jaedyn needed a break...she was working really hard, you know. She stopped for a little snack of a couple "Cars" pit crew guys (she's trying to eat one in this picture; she's not giving me a hate stare, although she does do that often these days).


When she was done with her snack, she moved on to making a few phone calls courtesy of my cell phone. She's got to keep up on the latest gossip with her BFF's. I love how much she gets into talking on the phone, it's so cute.




So, Jaedyn didn't end up being much help with the tree, but that's okay. I've been having a lot of fun watching her and her new love for Christmas tree lights. It's taken me more days to get the lights on than I want to admit, but she's enjoyed every minute of it. She's been playing with them so much that it's been a little difficult getting them on the tree, so I finally plugged in a separate strand for her, and she's been having fun with it (I did have to tell her once to not put the lights in her mouth and luckily she hasn't done it again).

I now know who's going to be my Christmas decorating assistant next year and for many years to come. Now, if I could just get the rest of the tree done!

Mommy & Sons Date With "Harry"

Last night I went on a mommy and sons date with Jaron and Jantzen to see "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1". The boys have been waiting a long time to see this movie and have been so excited. None of us have read the books, except Jaron. He just started reading the fifth one now, so we didn't know what to expect in this movie.


After only about a half hour into the movie Jantzen fell asleep. He was so tired that none of the loud (and I mean loud) noises bothered him.

Doesn't he look so comfortable sleeping on my lap...


Both Jaron and I really liked the movie, Jantzen will have to wait until it comes out on DVD to see if he likes it. It was a little darker and more violent than the rest of the movies, but it was still good. There was one part that made Jaron jump out of his seat, which gave the couple next to us a laugh. Jaron's now a little bummed out that he has to wait until next June to see the other half.

A couple from my ward was at the movie also and were kind enough to take a picture of me and my boys. Poor Jantzen was still so tired, he couldn't sit up and he had a hard time walking back to the car.


I had a really good time going out with my boys and I hope I can do this more often. I'm really lucky to have such sweet boys that don't mind going out with their mom in public...I love my Jaron and Jantzen!

Crazy Boys!

A couple weeks ago Nena and Tate were in town, so we decided to take the boys to the Dinosaur park to burn some energy. The boys love this park and I do to, except for the sand some sometimes finds it's way into my car when we leave.

I forgot my camera, I know what you're thinking...Me? I never go anywhere without my camera. I don't know what I was thinking that day or if I was at all. Anyway, thankfully Nena had hers and was able to get some fun pictures of the boys having a good time.

I'm not exactly sure what's going on in this picture, but I think that Tate is trying to climb the dinosaur head and Jantz is giving him a boost...watch those hands Jantz!


I just love how well Jaron and Tate can read the sign. Maybe they have "selective" reading skills, you know, like "numchuck skills". At least they didn't get hurt and they had fun, right? I'm not sure what happened to Jantzen, but he was there, somewhere.



And, of course, what would a fun evening at the park with your cousins be without a cute picture of all the boys smiling so nice...

Oh, wait! That's not what they're doing. Sometimes I just picture their smiles differently, but hey, they are cute boys with such fun personalities.
