New Calling...

Last November I got a new calling at church...I am now the 2nd counselor in the primary presidency. This isn't my first time in this particular calling, I was the 2nd counselor when I was pregnant with Jaron. I was asked to be over the scouting program this time. I'll admit that I was a little disappointed about this at first because I was looking forward to working with the activity days girls, but it hasn't been too bad so far. Plus, Jantzen will be in cub scouts in July, so that should be fun. 

Here are the lovely ladies that I get to serve with...(Jessica, Mary, me, and Ashley) 

   (We just barely took a pick of us after only 3 months of serving together)     I'm actually pretty excited to be serving in primary again. Most of the callings I've had have been in primary, so I'm guessing that's where Heavenly Father thinks I'm needed and I hope that means that he thinks I'm good with kids.

"14 Days of Valentine's"...Day 2

Here's day 2 of my family's "14 Days of Valentine's".

I gave the kids some chocolate coins...

   ...and Josh some of his favorite kind of gum...      I made my own tags this time and I think I like them a lot better than what I found on Pinterest.

"14 Days of Valentine's"...Day 1

This year I decided to start a new tradition at our house for Valentine's Day. I thought it sounded fun to get a little treat/gift for each member of my family every day of February leading up to Valentine's Day. I found these cute mini mailboxes at Target to put the treats in and got a blue one for Josh, a white one for Jaron, a red one for Jantzen, and a pink one for Jaedyn...

   Here's the 1st day of Valentine's... I gave Josh some cinnamon bears...      ...and the kids some M&M's...      My family absolutely loved their treats and are excited to see what they get every day. I love doing things like this for my family, it's so much fun!    ***I found the tags for today's treats on Pinterest, but I think I'll make the rest of the tags myself (that way I'll like them better and they'll be all mine)***

And So It Begins...

Today, Jaedyn and I went on a little outing to Ross. I like to go and look around often to see what fun things I can find for my house. Today, Jaedyn decided that she needed a little time to try on some shoes before we left. I told her she could try on a couple pairs and then we needed to go... 

   ...about 20 minutes later I was begging her to stop trying on shoes, but she wouldn't have it. She was having way too much wearing "fancy" shoes, as she called them.      This was her saying, "I LOVE SHOES!!!!!". It's nice to know I finally have a shoe shopping buddy who will enjoy it as much as I do.      She's so much like her mother, sorry Josh!

Moving Up the Ranks

Jaron went to his first "Boy Scouts Court of Honor" tonight where he received his "Tenderfoot" award. He's been working very hard in scouts and was very excited to get this award...

       Jaron likes Boy Scouts a lot and is working hard so that he can try and get his "Eagle" award before he turns 16. Keep up the good work buddy, we know you can do it!

I LOVE CHEETOS!

Jaedyn LOVES "Cheetos"! Almost on a daily basis she'll wake up in the morning and ask if she can have some for breakfast. Unfortunately for her I'm not that nice of a mom and I don't let her have any...until lunchtime, after she's eaten all of her lunch. 

 The other day while we were at the store, Jaedyn grabbed a big bag of Cheetos off the shelf, gave it a big kiss and said, "I love you!"...I laughed. We let her get the Cheetos and she insisted on sitting in the cart so she could hug the bag all the way through the store... 

   I'm not sure where her love/obsession of Cheetos came from. Neither one of the boys loved food enough to hug it and tell it they love it. She's such a funny girl!

Lazy Afternoon...

There's nothing better than eating some yummy pizza outside on the trampoline on a Saturday afternoon...at least, that's what my kids thought today. Jantzen had his best friend, JoseAlfredo, sleep over last night and any time one of my kids has a friend over, it's a party all weekend. 

   By the looks on their faces, I'd say they're having a good time...       Oh, to be young again...!!!

End of Finals & Cafe Rio

Jaron has been taking his semester finals at school for the last few days and today was the last day. To celebrate finals being over, Nena and I took Jaron and Kennedy for a celebration lunch at Cafe Rio. Jaedyn was lucky enough to be able to tag along too... 

   We had a yummy lunch with some fun conversations. Jaron, unfortunately, got teased a lot about a girl named Courtney that he likes...that's why he's smiling the way he is here...      Jaedyn loves to tease him the most about Courtney, but I think Jaron secretly loves it.   Look at that bright red face of his!...      Lunch was really fun today!
