Party Time With The Fam

On Saturday we celebrated Jaron's birthday again, but this time with just our little family (Josh finished up his training that day). Jaron was really patient about waiting until then to get his presents from us.

Jaron couldn't decide where to go to dinner so he let Jantzen help...he picked Red Robin. When we were there Jantzen told the waitress it was Jaron's birthday and when they came to sing to him, he was in the bathroom so they had to come back. It was kind of funny.

After dinner we went back home to open presents and have cake. Jaron got everything he wanted...a blue iPod, new Star Wars Lego sets, and a Clone Trooper helmet. I love how excited he got. It makes getting him presents more fun. Jantzen now wants his own iPod, in green of course, since the rest of us all have one now.



While Josh was putting together the Clone Trooper helmet Jantzen went and got the Darth Vader helmet so they could play together. Now they can both play fight each other and not actually fight over who's turn it is to wear a helmet.



After the boys played for a little bit we decided to have cake. I forgot to take a picture of the cake before I put the candles on it, but you can still see it. We sang "Happy Birthday" and then we enjoyed some cake. Jantzen sang his own little version of "Happy Birthday" with the cha cha cha in it.






Jaron picked out chocolate cake, but then didn't really want to eat it, he just wanted to play with his new Lego set and his iPod. Jantzen, on the other hand, loves cake. He eats all the frosting first and then will eat the cake until he's full.



It turned out to be a fun night with our family. I'm glad we can have fun times like this together. Now all the birthday parties are over for the year. Next year we will have five parties to celebrate in less than a two month period, I can't wait!
