Spring Picnic...Harmony Hills Style

Last Saturday our ward had a spring picnic for all of us to get out and enjoy the weather. We brought our own dinner and the ward brought watermelon and drinks and we had a pot luck dessert table.

There was another ward at the same park having a party and they had a couple bounce houses, so as soon as we got unloaded my boys took off to play in them. Luckily the other ward didn't mind. Jaedyn stayed with me and Josh because she wanted to enjoy her Cheetos...

Jaedyn and Bailey were buddies for most of the time we were there. Bailey's the sister Jaedyn will never have, she just loves her. Jaedyn had to follow Bailey almost everywhere she went.

Jaedyn was loving the freedom she had at the park. She ran around everywhere and had a great time doing it.

Josh enjoyed just hanging out on the blanket while the kids played...

Jaedyn, Rylee, and Jane found a fun game to play. It was a rocket-like toy that you stomp on and it shoots up in the air. They had so much fun with it.

After a little bit, Jaron decided to join in on the fun with them. He was being so cute and helpful with the girls.

Then Jaron enjoyed some Gatorade, rice crispy treats, and some time to himself...

Jantzen and Dallin were enjoying some dessert of their own and I thought it was so cute how Jaedyn had to come lay down on the blanket just like they were. She loves to do "big kid" things like her brothers.

And, of course, Jaron doesn't want to feel left out, so he had to join them for a quick smile. I'm not quite sure what's going on with Jaedyn's face here, but it looks like she's praying...she's so cute!

And here's the Cheetos again...that Jaedyn loves her Cheetos!

Jantzen had to show me how strong he is with this broken branch he found...at least I hope he found it and didn't break it himself!

I was just playing around with my camera here while I was holding Jaedyn...I think she likes her picture taken.

One of the activities the ward had for us to play was "water balloon volleyball". Jaron and Jantzen decided to give it a try. They had a hard time getting their water balloons over the net, mainly because they kept trying to toss them at different times. They got wet a few times from balloons hitting the ground next to them. Bro. Pace tried to come help the boys figure it out and after a while of trying and getting frustrated, Jantzen gave up. Luckily for Jaron, Bro. Pace and Bro. Kelley both took turns helping him play...they got a few good throws over the net.

When I came back over to our blanket I saw Jaedyn using Josh as a jungle gym and he didn't seem to mind. She was having so much fun climbing and jumping on him, it was so cute!

Here's Rylee, Jaedyn, and Jane just hanging out while some of the boys were getting ready for a pudding eating contest...

I convinced Jaron to join in on the pudding eating contest, okay, I actually bribbed him to do it with $5 (that I still haven't paid him yet, I think he forgot). He was reluctant at first to do it, but went for it anyway. He really shouldn't have a problem with this because he does love chocolate, so here he is getting ready to scarf down some yummy pudding...

Here's a picture of all the boys that competed, notice which one has the cleanest face. That's right, it's Jaron! I'm not sure how he managed that, but he did.

I didn't want a clean faced picture. so I wiped some pudding on his face...you can see how much he liked that...

After that, it was free reign on getting messy. He decided to embrace it and enjoy the rest of his pudding...that's my boy!

We hung out for a little bit longer and let the kids play some more before we went home. When we got home the kids were tired from all their playing, so that made bedtime really easy. We all had a fun, somewhat relaxing night.

The kids look great! I'm glad y'all had so much fun. You definitely have your hands full with Jaedyn.
