New Fashion Statement?!?!

This is what happens when, while shopping, I turn my head for 10 seconds...

   I'm not sure what prompted this little Diva to wear this bra as a hat, but she did...and she giggled the whole time! And yes, I did think it was funny!

Planetarium Fieldtrip

Jaedyn had another field trip today with her preschool friends to the CSN Planetarium. She was really excited to learn about stars and the solar system. 

   Here she is in the viewing area waiting for the Solar System movie to start...       After the movie was over, the kids got to explore some more objects about the Solar System. She had a lot of fun hanging out with her friend Katelyn...       Before we left, Jaedyn got to drop a penny in a "Black Hole" and watch it get sucked in. She thought that was pretty cool!       I love that Jaedyn has the opportunity to have fun field trips like this where she can learn new things and hang out with her friends. It's fun to be able to share these moments with her.

1st Toothless Smile

Yesterday Jaron lost another tooth, but this time he didn't have the permanent one already in before the baby one came out. This is the first time he's had a toothless smile, so I had to capture this rare moment in a picture... 

   As he was sleeping last night, I tried to capture a picture of the tooth fairy as she was exchanging his tooth for some money...       I didn't get the best picture, but I guess I got some proof that the tooth fairy really does exist!

Mini Shoe Tester

Any time I get new shoes, Jaedyn has to be the one to test them out. Today was no exception. I ordered a couple pairs of shoes as a late Christmas present and they were just delivered today. These ones were Jaedyn's favorite and she just had to model them for me... 

       I love the way she moves her feet so you can see the side of the shoe...she's so cute! I'm glad to know that she approves of my footwear.

My Little Sunbeam...

Today was Jaedyn's first day as a Sunbeam in primary. She's the last little Sunbeam that we'll ever have and she looked so cute for her first day... 

       She was a little hesitant to go in primary with her new class, she wanted to go back to nursery. She absolutely loved nursery! After a little while in there she was loving it. I think it helps that I'm in the primary presidency, but it might not be a good thing either. She came up to me a lot to whisper in my ear. She wasn't actually saying anything, but it was cute. During singing time the primary kids were practicing "I am a Child of God" and it was cute watching her sing it...she knew all the words.    After church was over I asked her how she liked her new class and she said it was fun. She likes her teacher, who just happens to be the mom of one of her friends. I think she'll do good as a Sunbeam, although I'm sad to see my baby grow up!

A Day on the Lake Bed

This morning we took the kids out to the lake bed for some New Years riding. Jantzen was excited because he got to wear his new riding boots that he got for Christmas and some new riding gear. Doesn't he look awesome?!?!... 

   Jaedyn and I hung out by the car because we still don't have a bike to ride. That's okay though, Jaedyn always finds something to do to entertain herself...      ...most of the time it involves some sort of snacking...      Jaron and Jantzen enjoyed some riding time together...they're pretty good. We do need to get them bigger bikes though. They've outgrown theirs already.       I love Jaedyn's expression here. No, it's not because of any gas fumes (since she's sitting next to the gas for the bikes), she's just silly like that.      Here's some more random silliness from Jaedyn. We drew a face in the dirt on her shadow...she loved it!      She found this tiny stick when we went on a walk and she told me to call her "Stick Hand", you know, like "Captain Hook"...funny girl!       Jaedyn got her ride with her daddy while we were there. She doesn't like to leave before she gets it and she loves every minute of it.       Jaron took a little break from riding to sport some new gear...love the pink hat!!      Josh and the boys all went for a little ride together...          ...while Jaedyn snuggled with Josh's jacket on the trailer...      Josh had to show some of his mad wheelie skills...it's pretty cool to watch!       Jaron did a little showing off too...      Here's Jaedyn begging for some Cheetos...      ...and this is what happens when I give in and let her have some...      Anyone want a cheesy kiss?!?!     Jaron spent most of his time on a track that he made, he can ride on it for hours.      It was a little chilly at the lake bed and after several hours of riding, this is how Jaron ended up...      ...all crumpled up and cold!

Face Swap!

Josh got a new app on his phone called "Face Swap". It's where you take a picture of at least two people, animals, etc. and then you swap their faces. He thought this would be fun to try out on all of us, so here's the results...

           We all got a lot of laughs when we saw what we looked like, it was pretty funny!!

Happy 2013!!!

This year we decided to spend New Years Eve with just our family. We started out our fun at Red Robin, that's where the kids wanted to go for dinner...surprise, surprise! 

   They were all being a little goofy as usual, especially Jaedyn...      I tried to get a picture with her and this is what I got at first...      I'm not sure what she's doing here, but it gave me a good laugh.    I did get one cute one of her, not that she isn't cute in all of her pictures, even when she's being silly...      Here's me and my handsome hubby walking to the car after dinner...      When we got home I made my family pose for some family pictures on our trampoline because I knew that Josh wouldn't stay awake until midnight. I made my kids sit and pose while I figured out what setting to put my camera on and then Josh joined them.      Let me tell you what's going on in these pictures. As I was setting up my camera I heard some laughing and gagging. Turns out that Josh was polluting the kids' breathing air and Jaron was about to gag, Jantzen just laughed uncontrollably, and Jaedyn just sat there like she had no idea what was going on. I guess I really am the only adult in this family.       After "things" calmed down, I set the timer and took our last family pictures of 2012. Of course not all of us were looking at the camera in the first one and in the second one I was talking through my teeth. Oh well, that's how our family is!          I got my New Years kiss early because, again, I knew Josh wouldn't make it to midnight.      After pictures, we all played "Just Dance 4" that we got for Christmas. It was actually a lot of fun and the kids were cute to watch. Jaron kicked all of our butts every time...he's really good at that game!        Jaedyn took a few breaks from dancing and helped herself to a little snack (her corn dog from dinner that she didn't finish)...      Just like I thought, Josh was asleep around 9pm, so when midnight hit I went outside with the kids. They blew their horns and their poppers and watched all the illegal fireworks that our neighbors were setting off.          The fireworks were scaring Jaedyn, so she went inside until they were over. The boys and I came back inside so we all could watch the fireworks going off on the strip on TV and then we got our jammies on. It took Jaedyn only a minute after that to fall asleep...she was really tired. I'm surprised she made it as long as she did.      Jaron and Jantzen stayed up until 2am this morning watching a movie and I went to bed. It was a fun last night of 2012 with just our little family. I hope 2013 brings a lot of good memories for our family...HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
