"Nitro Circus" Live Tour

Last night we were able to go to the "Nitro Circus" Live Tour with the Smith's. Josh was so excited to go because he loves all this crazy stuff and I was excited because I like Travis Pastrana (he's one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet).

Here's a few pictures of the ramps (that were over 5 stories high) the stunts were performed on and a picture of the signature bomb for Nitro Circus (sorry, I'm still learning how to use my new camera and I haven't quite figured out how to take pictures indoors with little light)...

Before all the crazy stunts started, the main Nitro Circus crew came out in a motor home...

Then, Travis came out on his dirt bike and lit the bomb with a massive match and then a bunch of fireworks went off...

There was some talking with Travis because the show was being recorded for a Nitro Circus 3D movie they're making, so that means Josh and I will be in another movie that has something to do with dirt bikes (we're just in the audience though).

Before the show got too far into the mass craziness, Travis stopped everything and proposed to his girlfriend (sniff, sniff)...j/k, I just really think the guy is cool!

Finally, all the stunts were underway. There were bmx riders doing back flips, front flips, and a bunch of other crazy stuff on the bikes. There was a guy on roller blades that did some crazy things, one of them on a bmx bike...

There was the rollerblader that jumped the ramp with a shopping cart, a guy who attempted to jump in a Barbie car (he didn't quite make the ramp, but he was okay), a guy who tried to jump the ramp while sitting in a cooler, and a guy who rode skis (with wheels on the bottom) down the ramp...it was pretty crazy, but awesome at the same time...

Travis Pastrana and Chad Kagy got into a "friendly" competition with the bmx bikes and the dirt bikes...

It ended up with several bmx riders going down the ramps and doing crazy things with their bikes and several dirt bikes doing back flips together and other freestyle tricks, and a two person dirt bike they made that jumped while the riders were doing freestyle tricks. There was even a "homemade" buggy that had a dirt bike engine in it that was jumped. It crashed, but the guy was okay and it made the crowd go wild.

Then, Travis did some crazy things himself. He had his crew pick a lady out of the crowd to go for a ride on his bike with him. He told her they were just going to jump the ramp...

...but, he ended up doing a back flip with her. That wasn't the only crazy thing he did. He also took two of Gregg Godfrey's younger kids and did a back flip with both of them at the same time and he landed both jumps...it was awesome! (The girl from the audience is the top picture and the kids are the bottom picture)

There was also another "friendly" competition with the dirt bike riders. Some of them were from the USA and the others were from Australia, so each group did tricks together and the crowd had to cheer for the best team. I'm sure you can guess who the crowd cheered more for...the USA!! They were all good though.

This was the best thing about the night, in my opinion. It was when Travis Pastrana and Cam Sinclair did a side by side double back flip on their dirt bikes. This was the first time that has ever been done and they were perfectly synchronized...it was so awesome! (This is a frame by frame picture of it that I had to get off the Internet, mine didn't turn out so well)

Here's the video of it...

Here's a picture Josh took of the two of us for proof we were there...

Here we are with Rikki and Todd...

The show ended up going an hour longer than it was supposed to. We heard they did that because they were having so much fun and the crowd was being so awesome. It was a super fun night, we were so lucky to be able to go. Thanks Todd for getting us the tickets!
