Santa Night

Tonight was "Santa Night" at the boys' school. This was another first time activity that, as a PTO, we're starting at their school. We decorated the cafeteria with Christmas trees, snowflakes, reindeer, and a fireplace for Mrs. Clause. We were lucky to have a couple of the school staff members volunteer to be Santa and Mrs. Clause and they both did an awesome job. While Santa talked to some of the kids and took pictures with them, Mrs. Clause read Christmas stories to the rest of the kids. There was also hot chocolate, cookies, and crafts for all the kids to enjoy.

My kids spent most of their time making reindeer puppets. Jaron actually just helped Jantzen do his because he was "too cool" to make one for himself.

Jantzen and Jaron also made some candy cane reindeer, but Jaron gave his to Jaedyn. The kids enjoyed some cookies, dancing, and a little bit of goofiness while waiting to see Santa...Love the face Jaron!

When it came time for the kids to see Santa and get a picture with him, Jaedyn freaked out and wanted nothing to do with him, so it was just the boys who got their picture with Santa. I love the face that Jantzen's sporting, not sure what he was thinking at that particular moment, but it makes for some funny memories!

Before the night was over, Jantzen got to enjoy some Christmas stories from Mrs. Clause. Again, Jaron was "too cool" to sit and listen. Instead, he ran around with his friends.

The kids all had a fun time tonight and I think as a whole, the first Santa Night was a success. Hopefully next year Jaedyn will not be so afraid of Santa so I can get a picture of her with him.
