Another One Out...FINALLY!

Jaron FINALLY lost another tooth (only his 6th one at 10 yrs old). This tooth has been loose for a very long time and we've been trying to get him to work it looser so it can come out because the permanent one had already come in behind it. I'm not sure why his teeth do that, but that's how they've all been. He's very emotional when it comes to pulling out his teeth, so it's always a huge battle for Josh to even touch it...there's a lot of crying involved.

This time Josh figured out a way to coax Jaron to get it out because we didn't want to pay the dentist to do it. Jaron's been saving up money to buy himself a Kindle Fire. He was very close to the amount he needed, so Josh said we'd front him the money that he'll end up getting for his grades at the end of the school year so he could get his Kindle sooner. The only catch was, he had to get his tooth out that same night (last Saturday). Jaron pondered this for a few minutes and then said he could do it.

Josh got the floss all ready, Jaron did a few breathing exercises to get himself ready (I'm serious when I say this is a very traumatic thing for him), and then they began...

It only took two times with the floss for Josh to get it out. Jaron was so happy it was over with, but I think he was even happier because he knew he was going to get his Kindle Fire a lot sooner.

Here's my cheesy child with his expensive tooth...

Jaron got his Kindle Fire last night after he turned over all the money he had in his wallet, including the money he got from the tooth fairy. He said it was all worth it and now he's a very happy boy...

Funny thing, now Jantzen thinks if he gets one of his teeth out that he'll get a Kindle Fire.
