Spring Break at the Beach...2014

Today we took the kids to the beach at Oceanside Harbor.  This is one of their favorite places to go when we come to California.

Jaedyn found this cute yellow flower when we got there and she had to put it in her hair and pose for me...she's so cute!!

       The kids quickly went about playing in the sand...       Josh even got in on the action and went with Jaedyn to collect water to build a sand house...           Jantzen and Sarah collected some water too...       Then, they got down to business...              Here's the finished product...       Jaedyn took a break from playing in the sand to enjoy her favorite treat...       ...she's such a little dainty diva!!   Jantzen wanted to be buried in the sand, so Jaron got to work...       When he broke free, he was covered in sand that was sticking to his sunscreen...       ...so, he went to take a dip in the ocean to clean it off...       I think Jantzen loved being in the water more than the rest of the kids.  He stayed in there for a long time, even after the sand was washed off.       Twinsies!!!...I love my little Jaedybug!       Jaron decided to take a break from playing to work on his tan...       Jaedyn had to pose again for me to show off her new swim suit she got just for this trip...she's so stinkin' cute!       Here's a drawing Jantzen did in the sand...      Jaedyn is afraid of the water, so Josh tried to take her in it so she wouldn't be afraid.  It didn't work very well, she freaked out when he tried to put her down.           Here's an attempt at a selfie of Josh and I...       ...I guess she thinks she needs to always be the center of attention.   We did eventually get a pic of us without her in it...       Jaron finally decided to join Jantzen and play in the freezing cold ocean...       Jaedyn got brave and got her feet wet, but she ran pretty quickly when the waves came in...           Jaron attempted to use the boogie board...       ...while Jantzen collected sea shells.  He found a whole sand dollar among many other shells.  He was having so much fun searching in the ocean for them.  The cold water didn't seem to bother him at all, or maybe he was just too numb to notice anymore.       Jaron, Raeley, and Sarah went out to boogie board together...           ...while Jaedyn kept running away from the waves...           Jaron had fun on the boogie board.       Jaedyn had to have a turn too.  Jaron was a good big brother and pulled her around in the water for a while.          Jaedyn found a friend to play in the sand with.  It was cute watching them play and talk.       These are the sea shells Jaedyn found...       Jaron wanted to be buried in the sand, but was a little stinker and only wanted his legs buried...       The kids thought Josh's sand house was so cool, so they asked him to help them build another one...       Jantzen and Sarah collected the water for it, they were being good buddies.       I had Amanda bring this picture frame because I wanted to try taking some pics of the kids with it.  Here's what I got...                                 I think they all turned out pretty cute.  It was fun goofing around while taking them.  I love how Jaedyn loves to photo bomb...silly girl!   We had so much fun at the beach with Marty, Amanda, and their girls.  We love it so much here and wish we could move here.  The kids are always sad when we have to leave the beach, but hopefully we'll get to come back soon.
